Human Resource Development and Management must focus also to the negative attitudes and beliefs of employees. Employees who have negative attitude must be minimized because they can create a long term culture of failure that can affect the operation of the company. Here are some ideas on how management can minimize negative attitudes.
Model Optimistic Behavior
It is obvious that if management is practicing negative attitude most of the staff will follow also. Never do this. Take a positive approach with staff by showing confidence in their abilities. Appreciate their good deeds and encourage your coworkers if they fail. Expect a lot, support staff, hold them accountable, confront them and be clear and honest. Set standards for your own work and relations with employees, and work towards meeting them to set an example of positive behavior. If you are the boss show your workers that you are responsible manager so that they will also follow you.
