In September last year, the OnLive announced the launching date for US in GDC 2010. This service utilizes cloud computing to stream games straightforwardly into nearly any PC or Mac. Applications will run on hardware in a server farm, while users need only a low end hardware including OnLive’s own mini-console and broadband connection to connect in and play. So, there is no need to buy costly consoles or PCs.
OnLive will always bring up to date its hardware. If you want to play it on a PC or a Mac, you have to use a small browser plugin and if you want to play it on TV, then use OnLive MicroConsole which has USB, Ethernet, HDMI and power i/o devices. If you have a Net connection, a display, and an input device, then you can play any of its games. OnLive will allow an amazing gaming experience on virtually any device, with same suppleness and instantaneous play experience.
OnLive will require a 1.5 megabit per second service for standard definition video (480p) and a 5 megabit per second tie for HD (720p). OnLive is accessible for PC and Mac users only but later this year; users will be able to purchase a MicroConsole TV adapter that will bring OnLive functionality to their living area. OnLive features voice chat, gamertags, and profiles and also allow pausing and resuming of games. With OnLive Game Service, you can play latest games without spending much money on a hardware system.
